Wow….Heavy Lifting…

“Sometimes, you just have to say…..What The #@$K!”

Risk Business - 1983.

So we have a vision, can see the path, have all the players and a chance to make a huge impact on the world we live in.  It all seems so easy, that is, until you try to build momentum from a standstill.  Young and foolish, we’ve dropped our shoulders and started pushing.

Two days ago, Guardian Angel Motorsports and Team Polizei 144 announced our joint effort in supporting www.love146.org in their charitable fund raising efforts.   Implicit in that is for us to enter the venerable car #63 in the Rolex GT race, August 7, 2009 at Watkins Glen International.  This race is the support race for the NASCAR main event that weekend.   To enter the race, the team had to find the remaining 40% of funds required.   The sledding is pretty rough right now and we’ve only barely moved the needle.

Our quandry is simple.  We’ve got it all hanging out on this event and have called all of our favors outstanding.  The time table is so short, vacation time so nigh, it’s just a bear to get anyone to seriously evaluate and understand the opportunity for what it is.

I’d like to ask for your help.   As such, we need to raise $50k which would be 20% charitable deduction, 80% marketing expense for the check writers.

Our approach was to find 10 b2c cos that might find the extraordinary channel that polizie represents (see linked) a reasonable $5k biz investment with a measurable roi.

For their $$ they’d get:

1. Charitable deduction for 20% from www.love146.org
2. Celebrity support/mention in event media (we anticipate speed & network tv).
3. Social media marketing to 5.2mm opted in subscribers.
4. The same to an additional 20mm in distribution lists.
5. Placement in youtube videos (last ones had 43k views in < 60 days)
6. A pair of hot pit - all access passes to the NASCAR sprint cup event with off the hook (6th gear x10) hospitality.

Does anyone have 1 or 2 friends/families/clients that might dig an opportunity like that?

We’d all be eternally grateful.

ok - want a funny audio treat?  this lady called my office to inadvertantly recruit me back to my old employer.  our departure was nasty so I was sure he wouldn’t want to meet…apparently though, I one of the few that has agreed recently as you’ll hear.  the lady made all four of these calls within 14hrs….holy cow.  I keep giggling when I play the audio and thinking I should really tell him how bad she makes him sound…but it’s too savory sweet…;)

It looks like your old company has gone all out in their recruiting efforts(lol).
These calls must make you wonder why you ever left them.
