A juggernaut (
American pronunciation (help·info)) is a term used to describe a force regarded as unstoppable, that will crush all in its path.
Today Guardian Angel Motorsports felt like it became a juggernaut entry in the Grand Am Rolex24hr at Daytona.
Pictured here is Kurt’s interview with New England Cable News which was orchestrated by his POWER CHICK media agent - Sarah Cote.
RJ Valentine graciously lent his facility to us for the taping of the interviews and we even got to sit in his Riley & Scott Pontiac GTO which won the 2006 Rolex GT Driver’s championship. It was great.
So why the ‘juggernaut’ status? Well - we had a few other great scores in getting our word and story out.
1. Angel Dan Watkins was interviewed with his local newspaper - the Marblehead Reporter.
2. Angel Dave Quinlan is on deck with BOTH the Patriot Ledger as well as the Cohasset paper.
3. Angel Bruce Ledoux, your fearful leader, was able to gain multiple scores after pulling hard on the network with the recent post, “Who do you know”
- Brita Outzen has worked tirelessly this week to get us infront of her media buddies from the Red Sox. Currently WLVI tv has expressed interest.
- Vernon Ellinger successfully connected the team with Ed Harding from Channel 5 news and has scheduled a taping on Monday of the coming week (1.19.09).
- The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, second only to the Washington Post, has done a small story that’s due out in the coming few days.
4. The Middlesex news, third to the post, did a feature on 1.14 and we saw some $2,000 in pledges from the article alone.
5. We received our THIRD donation pledge today of EIGHT DOLLARS A LAP!!!!! We’re closing in on $50k raised like a native from Revere to an idling IROC Z Camaro.
6. The biggest inspiration is that David FOUND us. David is a former patient of Children’s Hospital and sent us this video that he and his friend made. He and his mom visited us this afternoon for some good old car talk…it was very cool. As it turns out, they’ll be in Disney for the coming week and will be joining us on race day. This kid is more composed, collected and focused than I’ll ever be. I’m quite moved, and quite impressed.
7. Kevin Buckler, Sean Heckman & Eric Wildt have been working hard to accommodate some of the families that will be joining us in Daytona. We’ve mapped out a cook’s tour and have some sign hero cards from the Porsche Factory drivers we plan to have for them. Eric and Kevin smoked out a very cool kid gift and will have some to give to the kids that visit.
