Guardian Angel Motorsports - Toby takes the finish line

Wow….this just keeps getting better.

The morning started out cool (49 degrees) and sunny. Lots of power on a day like today. Teammate Dan Watkins was first at bat and SHOT out of the box with a TWO second improvement in lap times. Dan is putting his foot down…literally. Continue reading ‘This Racing Stuff is Bi-Polar’

TRG Camp Showing Speed

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 28, 2008) - Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly recorded strong results in last season’s Rolex 24 At Daytona; Lally second and Pumpelly third. And both were fast in the first two days of Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 testing for the October Test Days at Daytona International Speedway.

Lally is expected to run a comparable schedule in 2009 to that of 2008, running select Rolex Series races while mostly focusing on ARCA and in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Pumpelly will run fulltime in 2009 with TRG in the Rolex GT and KONI Challenge GS Series. Continue reading ‘Guardian Angel Motorsports & TRG Showing Speed’

I’ve broken the cardinal driver’s rule, however, by falling in love with our car. Maybe it’s the livery, maybe it’s the look or feel, but it’s definitely the sound. The throttle is so responsive making the motor revv both up and down so quickly, you could almost talk with the it. Every time I get in, I think of Peter Frampton’s famous 1971 song, “Do you feel like we do.” That’s probably the $64,000 question isn’t it? Continue reading ‘I’ve been tossing in bed since 3:18 a.m.’
